Assume the Position

Through Jesus Christ believers have been given many benefits. The reality of these benefits come by way of our faith in Him who has made all things possible, Jesus Christ. It has been said, "If God says that it is so, then it is so." This means that a believers faith must stand on the integrity of Gods Word. One of the benefits that believers get to enjoy is our position in Christ.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2) One of the areas that believers can rejoice in, is that through Jesus Christ exchanging His sinless life for our sinful life. We are no longer enemies of God but now have peace with God, that is, right standing before God through our LORD Jesus Christ.

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19 ) The phrase , nothing shall by any means hurt you is a mandatory binding provision, an essential action that never changes. It is binding, it has been executed by and is upheld by the one to whom all authority has been given in heaven and on earth, JESUS. Believers have been given authority over the devil and His gang. That means every firey dart of the devil, sickness, disease, poverty, etc.  I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Another area of position that believers have is found in John 17:20-23.
Jesus is saying that believers can have the same relationship with the Father that He had while on earth. In Christ we have right standing with the Father, have been given authority over our enemies and can experience the same relationship that Jesus had with the Father, but it takes faith that comes from the heart not the mind.

These are only a few areas the God in Christ has given to believers. If only we could apprehend the truth and walk in our position that we have in Christ, which takes true Bible faith, it would only take a few believers to do what the early church did, "Turn the world upside down." PTL
