Are You Ready to Rumble?

As was shared last time, the Apostle Paul concludes his letter to the church at Ephesus with a very important piece of imformation that all believer's must get into their spirit. He continues with the next phase as to what the believe must do...
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)

What Paul is talking about here is NOT this awful fight that we are in against the devil nor is he talking about how powerful the devil is. Unfortunately many believers have been taught to think this way and therefore conclude that this is the reason why we put on the whole armor of God. We are to look at this verse from the perspective of what the Holy Spirit has revealed through Paul in the first part of Ephesians...
"...what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all." (Ephesians 1:19-23)

Do you see that? Christ has been placed far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body. Where are all principality and power and might and dominion? Under His feet. Also see that He is the head over His body which is the church. Now what are the things that the body walks or stand on? Its feet. Do you see that? These same  principality and power and might and dominion are under the feet of the believer, the church, His body.

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
(Ephesians 2:4-6) Believers are together in Christ far above principalities and powers and might and dominion which are under His/our feet! PTL

Unfortunately many believers are not taught to think like that because it takes faith in the integrity of God's Word to believe that Satan is no longer our master but in Christ we are now His master. This is why James tells us..."Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7) He will flee because we know what Jesus did...
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (The cross) (Colossians 2:15) So it is up to the believer to activate their faith, believe God's Word and uphold and enforce what Jesus did. The lives of the lost are depending on us.
