Adam, Who are you?

One of the most incredible things that could happen to any human being is to come to know Jesus Christ as LORD. He has done such great and wonderous things for ALL people, that it sometimes is difficult to comprehend. One of the things that believers must come to truly understand is where they came from and what the Heavenly Father has provided through Jesus Christ. If believers can truly understand what Gods purpoe and plan for man was and is they will finally see just how wonderful it is to be one of His children.

GENESIS 1:26-27, 2:7 reveals the creation of man where Gods breathed His Spirit into mans body whereby energizing man as a living soul, a living creature. And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:24) And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.
(Colossians 3:10) Man was created in Gods image and likeness, in knowledge, righteousness and holiness and because God is Spirit and eternal, so man was also created as an eternal being. Being created in the image and likeness of God means that man is a spirit living in an earthly body. God desired children who would be like Himself. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
(John 4:24)

God did not create man for heaven, He created man for the earth. Gods plan for man was this; God ruled the unseen realm in heaven and man would rule the visible realm on earth, with God and man enjoying continual communion through their spiritual natures. It is important to know that man was created not only to fellowship with God but he also was given the responsibility to rule over what God had created. Everything that God created was for man! This is a very important key and the only way that a believer will comprehend these things is through faith, believing God and acting upon His Word.

Psalms 8:4-8 puts it this way; What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas.
The word “angles” in the above is the word “elohim” and in Psalms 82:6 I said, you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High The word “gods” is also define “elohim”. The word “elohim” means “mighty ones” it is also the creation name of God when capitalized.

The Hebrew for “You have made man a little lower than the angel’s” is actually “You have made man a little lower than God”. This means that not only was man given dominion over the physical earth and all the creatures, but also over the angels of heaven, fallen angels and Satan himself. I other words, man was created as the god (small “g”) of this world. Man was created as Gods “mighty ones” a little lower than Himself. Woman was made to be a suitable, compatible and comparable helper to man and her position was the same, a little lower than God.

Just knowing Gods original purpose and plan for man should cause believers to be excited and very thankful because of what the Father has accomplished through the Son. As we look further into what had happened to man, the fall, we will also look at the restoration of man and incredible thing indeed that can only be experienced through faith in Jesus Christ.
